JEGS Friday Night Live: NHRA Pros & JEGS All-Stars

Racing under the lights

The only night of the year you’ll see NHRA pros run under the lights at the Motorplex. Two rounds of qualifying, header flames, the JEGS Black & Yellow Bash, and playoff pressure that sets the tone for the weekend.

  • Cut out of work at 5PM and make the drive — night racing at the Motorplex is pure Texas magic you have to see for yourself.
  • JEGS All-Stars and Sportsman racers continue their battle heading into the weekend.
  • Two rounds of NHRA Pro qualifying — one in the daylight, one under the lights.
  • The Battle for the Saddle brings even more intensity as racers chase Texas bragging rights.
  • Drivers push for the Low E.T. Bonus — extra cash on the line for the quickest passes of the night.
  • The JEGS “Black & Yellow Bash” lights up the pits with music, food, and fun.
  • 40th Anniversary Legacy in Lights Show — a Texas-sized celebration honoring four decades of speed, history, and heroes.

Make sure to wear black and yellow on Friday night.

Heads up: All race times are subject to change. If there’s track prep, weather, or an oil down, we’ll pause to get the surface perfect — then pick up the schedule right where we left off. Everything just pushes back from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the re-entry policy?

Re-entry is allowed with a valid wristband and ticket scan.

What time do the gates close?

The gates remain open until the event ends. You’ll still be able to get in later, though you may miss a lot of the action.

What should I prepare to bring?

We recommend bringing earplugs, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, cash, sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, a Sharpie Pen (for autograph opportunities), and Credit Cards (Texas Motorplex is a cashless facility)

Do I have to pay extra for parking?

No extra surprises—all parking and fees are included in the ticket price. Buy online now and save compared to gate pricing.

Can I camp?

Yes—camp out in the Back 40 for the full Texas experience. For just $40, you can stay on-site all weekend and be steps away from music, lanterns, bull riding, and racing.

Do camping passes include entry to the event?

No—camping passes only cover your campsite. You’ll still need to purchase an event ticket separately.
